Biography: I am a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University’s Weatherhead East Asian Institute, a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, an Institute Fellow at the University of St. Andrews’s Institute for Transnational & Spatial History, Editor for Global History and Theory at the scholarly journal History Compass, and a Board of Trustees Member of the Toynbee Prize Foundation. I was a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge for six years, where I Supervised in World History. I was also formerly a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, among others. I earned my PhD in Southeast Asian and International History at Yale University. My first book, Asian Place, Filipino Nation: A Global Intellectual History of the Philippine Revolution, 1887-1912 was published by Columbia University Press in 2020. My broad research interests center on Global Intellectual History, tropical entanglements of nature and social class, and Southeast Asia.
